Priest of Oshun

Ishe Fa’lona Oshun Iya Oshogbo is an initiated priest of Oshun, the deity of love, art, sensuality, sexuality, fertility and creativity. She has been a member of the Ile since 1988 and was initiated in 1989 in Oshogbo, Nigeria.

Oshogbo is also a ceremonialist, creative artist, and word warrior published in the anthologies The Goddess Celebrates, Earthwalking Skydancers and A Waist is a Terrible Thing to Mind.

As the East Bay representative of the International Women's Writing Guild she regularly presents new and established writers to the community.

Oshogbo travels around the country and the world presenting her workshops about sacred sexuality, the Ifa tradition of West Africa and how to put “power" in your writing. She is also a faculty member of the School of Ancient Mysteries/Sacred Arts Center in Oakland, California.

• Oshun-The Sweet Mystery explores the nature of the Spirit of the Sweet Waters of the world.
• Cultivating Your Potent Self: Retrieving the Divine Writer Within offers insight into your writing through your journey with the Spirits in Nature.
• Healing From the Root gives Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse a chance to release and do healing work over a ten week period. (This workshop can also be offered in a weekend setting.)
• Committing to Your Sacred Self gives participants an opportunity to heal and celebrate their defaced sexual self.
• Your Life Rituals is an experiential workshop in which participants learn the elements of creating their own rituals and receive guidance in performing their own ritual at the workshop conclusion.
