Those who are in the habit of throwing water in the streets, you should throw it cautiously, so that you might not wet your own guests. Ogbe Iwori
Festival of Bones 2008

Ile Orunmila Oshun Presents

The Thirteenth Annual

Festival of the Bones

Saturday November 1, 2008, 7:00-9:30 p.m
Oakland Center for Spiritual Living
5000 Clarewood Drive
Oakland, Ca. 94618

The Festival of the Bones honors the contributions of our collective ancestors and celebrates the beauty of life. We share in the gifts of the world’s spiritual traditions including African, Native American, Hawaiian, and Middle Eastern.

Representatives from these traditions will share their stories, songs, and dances. This Festival is interactive village theatre. Participants will experience transformative acts such as invoking the spirits of their ancestors, telling their stories, and placing them on the Tree of Life. There will be food for sale as well as a vendors' market.

Entrance to the Festival is $27-$9, sliding scale. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. There is plenty of parking, but carpooling is recommended.

Becoming Great

We are becoming great again.
My head is leading me to a good place.

I acknowledge and uplift the ancestors who have been unjustly accused and unfairly treated.
I uplift them so that they surpass their accusers and become royalty.
By my efforts, through the guidance of Orisha and Egungun,
My ancestors are becoming great again.

We are becoming great again.
My head is leading me to a good place.

I now release any of the false thoughts and the false views from our past that have kept me in the past.
I am manifesting a reality of honest relationships, mutual respect, just exchange, personal security, peace of mind, excellent health, and joy.

We are great again.
My head is in a good place.
It is here.
I am in an abundance of blessings.
